Hakka Mee (客家面)


One of the famous dish in Seremban. It features the flat noodle (扁面条) and delicious juicy minced pork. Then sprinkle some fresh green onion on top. Isn't that sounds easy to you? Anyway I skip the green onion as my boy wouldn't like them in his plate.

Ingredients

  • minced pork   肉碎
  • onion    洋葱
  • garlic    
  • flat noodle    扁面条
  • cornflour    玉米粉
  • sesame oil    麻油
  • pepper    胡椒
  • light soy sauce    酱油
  • salt    
  • ginger/rice wine    姜/米酒
  • plain water    清水

Steps 

  1. Marinate the minced pork with salt and pepper for 1 hour. Coat with a little cornflour when start cooking.    肉碎以盐和胡椒腌1小时。开始煮前撒上薄薄的玉米粉搅匀。
  2. Boil a pot of water. Pour in the noodle and cook to tender. Drain the noodle.    面条用开水煮软隔水
  3. Chopped the onion and garlic.    洋葱和蒜切末。
  4. Saute the garlic and onion. Then add the minced pork and stir fry. Add some water if it is too dry.   爆香蒜和洋葱,然后加入肉碎兜 允。如果干可适量加水。
  5. Season the minced pork with salt, light soy sauce, pepper, wine and sesame oil.    以盐、酱油、胡椒、酒和麻油调味。
  6. Place the noodle into a plate. Scoop the minced pork on top of the noodle.    面条上碟,肉碎铺在面条上。
