Fried Ban Mee


Fried Ban Mee instead of Ban Mee in soup.

Ingredients

  • ban mee    板面
  • garlic    蒜
  • onion    洋葱
  • gobo/greater burdock    牛蒡
  • bunapishimeji    白玉菇
  • brinjal     茄子
  • dark soy sauce    黑醬油
  • light soy sauce    酱油
  • fish sauce    鱼露
  • pepper    胡椒
  • corn flour    玉米粉
  • plain water    清水
  • sesame oil    麻油





 Steps 

  1. Cut the ingredients into desire size.    把材料切成喜欢的大小。
  2. Place the ban mee into the boiling water (added with oil). Once the cooked ban mee floating up to the surface, move them  to cold water immediately to stop the cooking process.    板面放入煮滚的水(已加了少许油)煮至浮上水面,捞起放入冷水冷切。
  3. Heat up a pan with cooking oil. Saute the onion and garlic.    起锅加些油爆香洋葱和蒜。
  4. Toss in the gobo, brinjal and little water to cook till tender.    加入牛蒡,茄子和少许水煮软。
  5. Add bunapishimeji and ban mee. Stir well.    加入白玉菇和板面兜匀。
  6. Seasoning with dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, fish sauce, pepper, and sesame oil.    放黑醬油,酱油,鱼露,麻油和胡椒调味。
  7. Finally, thicken the sauce with corn flour + water mixture.    最后,以玉米粉+水打勾芡。
