Purple Sweet Potato & Multigrains dessert



Another multi-grain dessert that comes in romantic purple.

Ingredients

  • multi-grain rice    五壳米
  • diced purple sweet potato    紫蕃薯叮
  • sago    沙谷米
  • crystal sugar    冰糖
  • plain water    清水

Steps 

  1. Bring a big pot of water to boil. Pour the sago into the boiling water and cook at low-heat for about 10 minutes. Keep stirring during its cooking.    煮開一大煲水。倒入沙谷米轉小火一邊煮一邊攪約10分鐘。
  2. Off the heat and on the lid to steam the sago until it turns to translucent.    熄火﹐ 蓋上鍋蓋燜至所有沙谷米轉透明.
  3. Run the sago under cold water to wash away the starch.    熟透的沙谷米用清水洗掉粘液泥。
  4. Place the multi-grain rice and diced sweet potato into a pot of water and cook until tender.    把五壳米和 蕃薯叮倒入锅里用水煮软。
  5. Add the crystal sugar and cook until dissolved. Lastly add the sago and stir thoroughly.   加冰糖煮至融化。最后加入沙谷米拌匀。
