Nasi Goreng Pattaya (Multi-Grain Rice Version)



Nasi goreng pattaya, the fried rice wrapped or covered by a fried egg. I'm using multi-grain rice instead of white rice, and the meat/chicken substituted by various veges.

Ingredients

  • multi-grains rice    五壳米
  • garlic    蒜米
  • broccoli    西兰花
  • pumpkin    南瓜
  • eryngii mushroom    杏鲍菇
  • cabbage    包菜
  • egg    
  • fish sauce    鱼露
  • salt    
  • instant tom yam paste    速食冬炎酱    
  • corn flour    玉米粉
  • plain water    清水

Steps 

  1. Cook the multi-grains rice according to the instruction given.    五壳米依照指示煮成饭。
  2. Cut the broccoli, pumpkin, cabbage, eryngii mushroom into desired shape and size. Chopped the garlic.    把西兰花、南瓜、包菜、杏鲍菇依喜好切小块。
  3. Mix the egg with salt, corn flour + plain water. Stir thoroughly.    蛋加盐、玉米粉+水混合均匀。
  4. Heat up the pan with a little cooking oil. Pour the egg in and swirl the pan slowly to make a thin omelette. Let it cooks and brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.    烧热锅加少许油。倒入蛋液,慢慢转锅子直到蛋液摊开薄薄的蛋饼煎熟备用。
  5. Heat up the pan with cooking oil again. Saute the garlic.    烧热锅再加油爆香蒜米。
  6. Add the pumpkin, broccoli, mushroom and cabbage in the pan. Cook to tender.   加入南瓜、西兰花、杏鲍菇包菜
  7. Add in the multi-grains rice, well stir.    倒入五壳米饭兜匀。    
  8. Season with fish sauce and tom yam paste.    以鱼露和冬炎酱味。
  9. Place the fried rice on a plate, then layer the omelette on top of the fried rice. Serve with chili sauce.    炒饭置在碟上,蛋饼铺在炒饭上,挤些辣椒酱在上面。
