Home Made Tortilla



I wanted to buy a pack of tortilla from hypermarket yesterday, but the selling price really shocked me out. Thus no choice but have to make myself today.

Ingredients

  • 175g of all-purpose flour   175 克普通/中筋麵粉
  • 25g of wholemeal high-protein flour    25 克全麦高筋麵粉
  • 10g of cooking oil    10 克菜油
  • 120g of water    120 克水
  • a pinch of salt    少许盐

Steps 

  1. Place all the ingredient into a mixing bowl. Mix them into a dough and knead for about 5 minutes.     把所有材料混合成面团,继续揉约5分钟。
  2. Let the dough set aside for about 40 minutes.      休面40分钟。
  3. Divide the dough into 8 even portions. Roll them into balls.     分8等份再揉成球状
  4. Roll out the balls into thin pieces.   把面团杆扁成薄片。
  5. Heat up a pan (grease free), pan-fried both sides of tortilla till bubbling and turn to light brown.      烧热锅(不需放油)烘两面起泡和转浅褐色。
