Meat Floss (Bread Maker)



My mother-in- law uses the pork to make the long-boiled soup (老火汤, 3-6 hours) daily. Those leftover pork usually will be dumped into bin at the end,  but I decided to turn those waste into snack that everyone loves~ meat floss (肉松). And I'm using bread maker to free me from the hot stove too. 

Ingredients

  • 500g leftover pork    500 克肉汤渣
  • 1.5 teaspoon of salt    1.5 茶匙盐    
  • 3.5 tablespoon of cooking oil    3.5 汤匙食油
  • 1.5 teaspoon of pepper    1.5 茶匙胡椒
  • 5 tablespoon of light soy sauce (Please adjust according to your preference taste)    5 汤匙酱油 (请依据自己喜好增减)
  • 5 tablespoon of sugar (Please adjust according to your preference taste)    5 汤匙糖 (请依据自己喜好增减)
  • 2 teaspoon of dark soy sauce    2 茶匙黑酱油

Steps 

  1. Use the spoon to flatten the pork. Use hand to shred into fine slices if necessary.    用汤匙压烂肉汤渣。如果需要可以手撕细条。
  2. Mix the shredded meat with other ingredients.    把肉丝和其它材料混合均匀。
  3. Place them into the breadmaker's bread pan.    倒入面包机烤盘。
  4. Choose the 'jam' mode.   选‘jam'程式。
  5. Press 'Start/Stop' button. Lift up the lid in whole process to free the steam out.    按’Start/Stop'钮。整个过程都开着盖让水蒸气排出。
  6. If the meat floss is too moist, restart the 'jam' mode until it turns to desire fluffy texture.    如果肉松太湿,重启‘jam'程式直到肉松煮至喜欢的蓬松程度。   
  7. Remove the bread pan from the machine.     烤盘取出。
  8. Use non-stick spatula to remove the meat floss from pan.    用不沾质料的刮刀刮出肉松。
