Multi-grain Rice in Seaweed Soup



I'm out of idea for my lunch today. I don't want something spicy and heavy. Soup is good but I need something can makes me full..... why not put in the multi-grain rice? High in nutrition and fibers.

Ingredients

  • multi-grains rice    五壳米
  • dried scallop broth    干贝高汤
  • dried seaweed   紫菜(滚烫用的)
  • celery    西芹
  • dried mushroom    冬菇
  • konbu    昆布
  • bonito flakes    柴鱼片
  • ginger/rice wine    姜/米酒
  • sesame oil    麻油
  • salt & pepper    盐和胡椒

Steps 

  1. Soak the dried seaweed into water until tender.    紫菜浸水泡软。
  2. Soak the dried mushroom into water to soften. Slice them.    冬菇泡水浸软,切片。
  3. Cut the other vegetables  into desired shape and size.    把其它材料依喜好切小块。
  4. Place the multi-grain rice into dried scallop broth and boil to tender.    五壳米倒入高汤煮软。
  5. Then add in the mushroom, seaweed, celery, konbu. Let it cook for few minutes before off the heat.    然后加进冬菇、紫菜、西芹、昆布煮几分钟熄火。
  6. Season with wine, sesame oil, salt and pepper. Lastly sprinkle the bonito flakes on top.    以酒、麻油、盐和胡椒调味。最后撒上柴鱼片。
