Bubur 'Rojak'........


Sometime out of idea for my lunch, so I'll have a simple dessert that made use of multigrain. And I'll add something else that been kept in fridge for long time.

Ingredients

  • multi-grain rice    五壳米
  • sago    沙谷米
  • gula melaka (coconut palm)    椰糖
  • mung bean/green gram    绿豆
  • bean curd sheet    腐竹
  • milk/coconut milk    牛奶/椰奶

Steps 

  1. Soak the bean curd sheet into the water to soften.    腐竹浸水泡软。
  2. Bring a big pot of water to boil. Pour the sago into the boiling water and cook at low-heat for about 10 minutes. Keep stirring during its cooking.    煮開一大煲水。倒入沙谷米轉小火一邊煮一邊攪約10分鐘。
  3. Off the heat and on the lid to steam the sago until it turns to translucent.    熄火﹐ 蓋上鍋蓋燜至所有沙谷米轉透明.
  4. Run the sago under cold water to wash away the starch.    熟透的沙谷米用清水洗掉粘液泥。
  5. Place the multi-grain rice and mung bean into a pot of water and cook until soften.    把五壳米和 绿豆倒入锅里用水煮软。
  6. Pour in the milk and bean curd sheet. Add the gula melaka and cook until dissolved. Lastly add the sago and stir thoroughly.   将牛奶/椰奶和腐竹倒入,再加椰糖煮至融化。最后加入沙谷米拌匀。
