Roti Canai with Sardine Curry Dipping Sauce




I bought a pack of frozen Roti Canai from hypermarket, so I made a pot of sardine curry as the dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • frozen roti canai    冷冻印度煎饼
  • pumpkin    南瓜
  • tomato     番茄
  • brinjal/eggplant    茄子
  • lemongrass    香茅
  • onion    洋葱
  • garlic    蒜 
  • canned sardine in tomato sauce    罐头茄汁沙丁鱼
  • curry powder    咖哩粉
  • milk    牛奶
  • plain water    清水
  • salt    


Steps 

  1. Chopped the onion and garlic.    洋葱和蒜切末。
  2. Cut the other ingredients into desire size.    其他材料切成喜欢的大小。
  3. Heat up the pan with cooking oil. Saute the onion and garlic.   以菜油烧热锅,再爆香葱和蒜。
  4. Add the curry powder and stir fried until fragrant.    加入咖哩粉炒香。 
  5. Pour in some water and stir well.    加适量水搅匀。
  6. Put in the lemongrass, then the pumpkin and brinjal. Cook to tender.    下香茅,然后南瓜和茄子煮至软。
  7. Add the sardine as well the tomato sauce.    加入罐头沙丁鱼和它的茄汁。
  8. Then follow by tomato.    然后加入番茄。
  9. Pour in the milk and bring to boil. Season with some salt.   倒入牛奶煮滚。放盐调味。
  10. Pan fried the roti canai and serve with the sardine curry dipping sauce.    煎熟印度煎饼和咖哩沙丁鱼一起上桌。
