Okonomiyaki is a Japanese pancake contained various ingredient. I found that most Okonomiyaki consists cabbage as their main ingredient, and some will put seafood or meat or anything you like. Okonomiyaki used the specific ingredients such as Okonomiyaki flour, Okonomiyaki sauce, seaweed flakes and a lots more. But I made my own simplest version~ Okonomiyaki with vegetable chicken. Enjoy.
Ingredients
Pancake Batter
- 80g of all-purpose flour 80 克普通面粉
- 1 egg 1 颗蛋
- 120ml of plain water 120 毫升清水
- a touch of salt and pepper 少許鹽和胡椒
Vegetables & Chicken
- chopped cabbage 包菜丝
- diced potato 马铃薯叮
- diced chicken fillet 鸡柳叮
- sliced carrot 胡萝卜片
- diced onion 洋葱叮
- sweet corn kernel 玉米粒
Steps
- Mix and stir the pancake batter ingredients into a smooth batter. 把pancake batter的材料混合均匀。
- Heat up a pan with some cooking oil. Cook the vegetables and chicken. 烧热锅把vegetables & chicken的材料煮熟。
- Add the pancake batter to the vegetables and chicken. Flip over when it set firm and turns to brown. 把面糊倒入菜和鸡肉,煎至定型和转金黄色再翻面煎。
- Okonomiyaki is done when both sides browned. Squeeze some mayonnaise on top and ready to serve. 当大阪烧两面转金黄色即可。上面挤上美奶滋。
