Frittata (意式烘蛋)

When I was watching "Giada at Home" on Food Network channel yesterday, Giada shared us a recipe "Frittata". This is a great dish for those food-picker like my elder son. Just put in anything you like (I'm putting vegetable definitely!!) and they are "hidden" in the egg mixture...
My son said to me "Mummy, i wanna try this! They look nice!!" Ok, I'm on today for the requested recipe.

Clay-pot Chicken Rice

Clay-pot chicken rice is a popular street food in Malaysia. It tastes totally different from the ordinary chicken rice where the chicken used to steamed or grilled. The cookware we need here is a clay-pot. Here is my simple recipe:

Golden Roses Steam Buns

Steam bun (包 Bao in chinese) is a Chinese cuisine you can found in any dim sum restaurant, or the stall selling newspaper besides the street. Steam bun can be served with stuffed filling like meat, vegetable, red bean/lotus paste etc. But there are also without any filling which I'm going to share in this recipe.
The method to prepare the steam bun is similar to the bun/bread. The difference is there are steam to cooked instead of oven-bake.

Berries Cheese Tarts

Cheese tart is not something new to us, but you must be surprised if i admit that i never taste a cheese tart before. Well, that's because I'm preferred the cheese in savoury instead of sweet. Anyway, it doesn't matter now, coz I'm going to have my very first cheese tart here!! And I'm sure I'm going to love it!!

Mini Mushroom-Chicken Pies

We planned to have a family picnic at a water-fall spot this weekend. Thus I voluntarily to bring some mini mushroom-chicken pies on the said day. Well, this recipe is quite easy if you use the frozen ready-made puff pastry. And this pastry is a must-have list in my freezer.

Chawanmushi (Basic Version)

Chawanmushi (steamed savory egg custard) is a common appetizer or side dish in Japanese food. The egg custard used to hold in a teacup (chawan = cawan in BM!!) and steam (mushi).
Chawanmushi tastes like and has much flavor than the Chinese steamed egg. You would discover a lot of precious ingredients in the chawanmushi like seafood, mushroom, chicken and etc....
Anyway mine is just a plain version, you may add anything if you want to.
