Besides mango ice-cream i made, i got another idea to mix the fruit in my boy's diet~ Apple pies. Just use the frozen puff pastry bought from supermarket, you could have instant yet delicious pastry at your own home sweet home.
Ingredients
- 8 sheets of puff pastry 8 片起酥皮
- 15g of butter 15 克牛油
- 2 red apples 2 颗红苹果
- 2 table spoon of brown sugar 2 汤匙黄糖
- 1/4 tea spoon of cinnamon powder 1/4 茶匙肉桂粉
- egg yolk 蛋黄
Steps
- Peel off the apple skin and dice the flesh. 苹果去皮切叮。
- Heat up a pan and melt the butter. 烧热锅,煮溶牛油。
- Pour in the apple dices and stir evenly so that the apple dices are coated with butter. Add the brown sugar, cook until the apple dices are tender and the remaining liquid is dried out. 倒入苹果叮拌匀,让牛油裹在果肉上。加进黄糖煮至果肉变软嫩,汤汁收干。
- Lastly sprinkle the cinnamon powder and stir well. Off the heat. 最后撒上肉桂粉拌匀熄火。
- Use a cutter to cut a pastry ( like in photo 4). Make some small holes and brush some egg yolk on top. 用模型切割一片起酥皮(如图4)。叉些小洞洞然后涂上蛋黄。
- Use the same cutter to cut another pastry sheet. Use a smaller cutter to cut a hole in the middle (keep the cut pastry for later use). Layer it on top of the previous pastry in step 5, this will be the casing. Egg wash the casing (photo 6). 拿另一片起酥皮用同个模型切割圆形,中间用小一些模型割出一个洞(割出来的酥皮收着待会儿用),然后贴在之前那片酥皮上作成派盒。扫上蛋黄(图6)。
- Scoop some apple filling into the middle. 派盒中间放苹果馅。
- The small cut pastry from step 6 make some holes on top and use the fork press some lines around the edge. Egg wash it and place on top of pie casing. 刚切出来的小圆酥皮叉些洞洞和用叉子在外围压出线条。涂上蛋黄,置在派盒上。
- Bake the pies at 200°C for 30 minutes. 以200°C烘30分鐘即可。
