Korokke (可乐饼)




Korokke is a famous dish among the kids, and adults too. Korokke usually coated with golden brown outer skin, which really make the kids appetite for food. And one more thing, it is sure a good 'place' to stuff in something that your kids dislike. Therefore my korokke mix with chicken and french bean, which my big boy doesn't really like them.

Ingredients

  • potato    马铃薯
  • diced chicken fillet    鸡柳叮
  • diced french bean    乌龟豆叮
  • diced onion    洋葱叮
  • chopped garlic    蒜茸
  • corn starch    粟米粉
  • all-purpose flour    普通面粉
  • beaten egg    蛋(打散)
  • breadcrumb    面包糠
  • a touch of salt and pepper    少許鹽和胡椒

  Steps 

  1. Peel off the skin and dice the potato. Steam the dices until there are soften, mash them.     马铃薯去皮切叮,蒸熟再压烂成泥。
  2. Marinate the diced chicken fillet with corn starch for a while.    用粟米粉腌鸡柳叮一会儿。
  3. Saute and stir fried the diced onion, chopped garlic, diced chicken fillet and diced french bean.    炒香洋葱叮、蒜茸、鸡柳叮和乌龟豆叮。
  4. Mix the mashed potato, ingredient from step 3,salt and pepper.    马铃薯泥、步骤3的材料、盐和胡椒搅拌均匀。
  5. Take a portion of mixture, shape it into a patty. Then coat it with flour, follow by egg and lastly breadcrumb.   取一份混合物压成肉饼状,两面沾上面粉,然后蛋液和面包糠。
  6. Deep/pan fried the coated patty until it turns to golden brown on both sides.    炸/煎至两面呈金黄色。
